Description
Straight-bladed Mayo scissors are designed forward cutting body tissues near the surface of a wound. Straight-bladed Mayo scissors are also used for cutting sutures and are interchangeably referred to as “suture scissors”. Mayo scissors are tough and sharp, made from stainless steel with a polished finish.
The Mayo scissors have a variety of uses in surgical settings, including veterinary clinics and podiatry offices. The scissors can also be used for cutting sutures and stitches, although most doctors have a preference to use two separate scissors for these purposes to help get the blades sharp. The scissors feature semi-blunt tips.
